It has been observed that the myopic childrens have a tendency to take a biassed diet. The rice is a chief article of food, in this country, the peoples are liable to deficiency of lysine and threonine.

20 cases of myopic childrens in a primary school, were administrated with L-lysine 500mg and DL-threonine 250mg, daily, during 6 monthes. The untreated 20 childrens progressed 0.01D., on the contrary, the treated 20 childrens improved 0.39D. in the degree of their myopia. (mean figure).

25 cases of myopic chidrens in this hospital were also treated with the same method dur-ing a year. The increase of myopia was 0.55D.
