後天性近視に対する低周波治療法

The low frequent electro-therapeutics on myopia acquisita

I．緒言

　近視の罹患率は，大正年間より漸次上昇し，1937年頃にはその頂点に達した。その後，第2次大戦中，及び戦後には，一程度減少していたが，1952年頃から再び増加の傾向が著しい。文部省調査局統計課の発表によれば，1955年度には，小学生男9.34％，女11.27％，中学生男13.56％，女16.86％，高校生男22％，女24.2％の近視が存在すると云う。1950年度には，高校生男約11％，女約13％であつたから，高校生の近視は毎年2〜3％づゝ増加し，わずか5年間に実に2倍に増加した訳である。最近，秋谷氏等は，金沢市内某高校の近視は，1年生38.3％，2年生40.9％で，昭和12年（1937年）頃の最も多かつた時代を梢々凌駕することを認めている。

　近年，結核をはじめとして多種の疾患が専ら減少の一途を辿つている今日，この近視の急激な増加は，まさに時代に逆行するもので，社会衛生上憂慮すべき問題であろう。

Recently there is a tendency of considerable increase of myopia acquisita in number.

Then the authors applied the electrification with low frequency rectangular pulses, con-tinuously 15 times for 15 minutes per once, to 60 patients of myopes in order to prevent the rising of myopia and treat them, and gained the following preferable results.

1. As to 113 eyes there were observed 14 eyes with complete healing, 33 eyes with remar-kable improvement, and 54 eyes with pretty improvement.

The therapeutic efficiency was 89.4% in ratio (101 of 113 eyes).
