（10）山地式「万国式平仮名試視力表」—（第1版）に就て

Yamaji's testing table of vision due to international Japanease "Hiragana"

　著者の1人山地（良）は先に5.0m用試視力表として，平仮名2列，双魚視標1列，ラ環2列より成る試視力表を発表した。実際に印刷するに際して之に次の様な改正を加えた。

　即ち，第1列の平仮名視標の「に」（0.15）と「こ」（0.2）を取換えたが，之は印刷紙面の大きさの関係によるものである。又，第4列のラ環の代りに考案者の山森先生の許可を得て六六環（4方向）を使用した。

Using Yamagji's Test Types written by the Japanse cursive syllabary (the 1st Edition) the visual acuity of 1000 eyes selected at random was measured.These results show that these Yamaji's Test Types relate perfectly with Landolt's ring. However, some improvements must be done in the following points : The letters of 1,2 and 1.5 in the first line are difficult to be recognized and the letter of 0.2 is at first sight lar-ger than the one of 0.15.
