両眼開放不能症例に対する新作カラーオクルーダー眼鏡のトライアル

Use of newly developed colored occluder for patients with difficulty in keeping both eyes open

要約　目的：両眼開放視困難な症例に対してquality of life（QOL）向上を目的に試作したカラーレンズオクルーダー眼鏡を使用し，その装用効果と患者の満足度を検討する。対象と方法：代償不能の複視や両眼視を損なう疾患などにより，両眼開放下で日常生活に困難を生じている29例を対象とした。目的を説明後，上掛け式カラーレンズオクルーダー眼鏡を試用させ，希望者には貸与のうえで2週間以上，日常生活での使用に供し，アンケート調査を行った。結果：約62％の症例で自覚症状改善がえられた。非改善例はいずれも周辺視野や周辺融像の阻害が原因であった。不満が多かったのは外見や装用感であり，のちの改良に役立てた。結論：カラーレンズオクルーダー眼鏡は代償できない複視，混乱視のための両眼開放視困難な患者の両眼を開瞼したまま片眼遮閉ができることでQOL向上に有用である。

Abstract.　Purpose：To report the effect and patients' satisfaction of newly developed eyeglasses with colored occluder. Cases and Method：This study was made on 29 patients who had difficulty in keeping both eyes open due to diplopia or diseases inhibiting binocular vision. The series comprised 12 males and 17 females. The age ranged from 30 to 87 years, average 60 years. The effect was evaluated by questionnaire after trial of the device for more than 2 weeks. Results：Subjective symptoms improved in 62％ of cases. Difficulty in peripheral fusion or impaired visual field in the periphery was the main factor in cases who reported no improvement. Complaints about the design or feeling during use were useful in improving the device. Conclusion：Eyeglasses with colored occlude proved effective for patients with difficulty in keeping both eyes open.
