Abstract. Purpose:To report the incidence and related findings after use of tafluprost ophthalmic solution for 6 months. Cases and Method:This prospective study was made on 58 eyes of 58 patients who received tafluprost for 6 months or longer. The series comprised 33 males and 25 females. The age ranged from 31 to 81 years, average 56 years. Each eye was photographed by slit-lamp microscope before and after treatment. Subjective findings were evaluated by questionnaire. Results:Photographic documentation showed, after 6 months of treatment, prolongation of eyelashes in 47%,bristling of eyelashes in 28%,hypertrichosis of the eyelid in 28%,pigmentation in the eyelid in 26%,and iris pigmentation in 35%. Subjective feeling did not match the objective findings. Conclusion:Topical tafluprost for 6 months induced complications in the eyelid or the iris at the frequency of 26% to 47%.
