Abstract. Purpose:To report the short-term outcome of simultaneous 360-degree trabeculotomy and cataract surgery. Cases and Method:This study was made on 26 eyes of 20 cases who received simultaneous 360-degree trabeculotomy and cataract surgery. The series comprised 15 male and 11 female eyes. The age averaged 73 years. There were exfoliation glaucoma 12 eyes, primary open-angle glaucoma(POAG)10 eyes, and chronic closed angle glaucoma 4 eyes. Cases were evaluated regarding intraocular pressure(IOP)and medication score for nine months after surgery. Results:IOP in 26 eyes averaged 17.8±4.9 mmHg before surgery and 12.0±3.l mmHg nine months after surgery. Medication score in 26 eyes averaged 2.8±1.1 before surgery and 0.9±0.7 nine months after surgery. Decrease in IOP and medication score was significant in eyes with exfoliation glaucoma or POAG. There was no serious complication during or after surgery. Conclusion:Cataract surgery with simultaneous 360-degree trabeculotomy was a safe procedure and was effective for exfoliation glaucoma and POAG.
