Abstract. Purpose:To report clinical and histopathological findings in a case of lacrimal gland cyst. Case:An 80-year-old male presented with swelling in the right upper eyelid. He had received extirpation of right lacrimal sac 40 years before. Findings:A soft and smooth tumor, about 10 mm in diameter, was present temporal to the right upper eyelid. T2-weighed MRI showed a cyst in the orbit. Serum levels of CRP and IgG were elevated. Surgically removed tumor consisted of cysts varying in size. The cysts showed pseudostratified ciliated columnar epithelium with decapitation secretion into the space. The stroma of cysts was infiltrated by lymphocytes and IgG-positive cells. Conclusion:Lacrimal gland cyst with lacrimal sac-like glandular tissue in the present case shows probable association with chronic dacryoadenitis.
