Abstract. Purpose:To report three cases treated by laser iridotomy for reverse pupillary block following sulcus fixation of intraocular lens(IOL). Cases:Three cases presented with unilateral impaired visual acuity. They had received sulcus fixation of IOL in the past. Findings:All the 3 eyes showed deep anterior chamber and posteriorly displaced midperipheral area of the iris. The pupil was in touch with the IOL. The chamber angle showed pigment deposit. All the cases were diagnosed with reverse pupillary block. Laser iridotomy was followed by normalization of depth of anterior chamber and configuration of the iris, resulting in resolution of reverse pupillary block. Conclusion:These cases illustrate that reverse pupillary block may appear in eyes with sulcus-fixated IOL and that laser iridotomy may be effective in the treatment.
