Abstract. Purpose:To report a case of recurrent fungal keratitis treated by transplantation of an ovoid corneal graft. Case:A 74-year-old male underwent cataract surgery with implantation of intraocular lens in his left eye. He received penetrating keratoplasty(PKP)for bullous keratopathy 8 months later. The left eye developed hypopyon after resuturing 40 months later. Another PKP was performed after 2 months. Corneal opacity appeared another 9 months later. Candida albicans was isolated from the corneal lesion. Medication with a third PKP was ineffective, necessitating a fourth PKP. Because of the large area of affected cornea, an ovoid corneal graft, 11mm×8.5mm in size, was used. He has been doing well until present 9 months after the last PKP. Conclusion:A large ovoid corneal graft may be effective for fungal keratitis with a history of multiple PKP.
