Abstract. Purpose:To report the outcome of wavefront-guided LASIK regarding correction of astigmatism. Cases and Method:Eight eyes received wavefront-guided LASIK. All the eyes had astigmatism of -3 diopters or greater. Results:One month after treatment, the astigmatism averaged 0.5 diopters or less. Uncorrected visual acuity improved in all the eyes. Corrected visual acuity improved in 5 eyes. Seven eyes showed improved 2.5% and 15% contrast visual acuity. There was no change in coma and spheric aberrations before and after treatment. Conclusion:Wavefront-guided LASIK for astigmatism results in improved uncorrected as well as corrected and contrast visual acuity.
