Abstract. Purpose:To report the longterm effect of topical levobunolol for normal-tension glaucoma. Cases and Method:This retrospective study was made on 29 eyes of 29 patients who were receiving levobunolol for normal-tension glaucoma for 2 years or longer. The series comprised 17 males and 12 females. Their age ranged from 25 to 79 years, average 50 years. Intraocular pressure(IOP)was measured every 3 months. Perimetry was performed every 12 months. Results:IOP before start of levobunolol averaged 16.5±2.1mmHg. IOP decreased significantly after 1, 2 and 3 years of levobunolol(p<0.05). There was no change in visual field regarding mean deviation(MD)or pattern standard deviation(PSD). Conclusion:Instillation of levobunolol for 2 years or longer induces decreased IOP and no change in visual field in eyes of normal-tension glaucoma.
