Abstract. A 33-year-old man suffered an electric shock while fishing. He lost consciousness temporarily. He had burns on the face, left hand and both feet. He visited us for hyperemia in his left eye 2 weeks later. His left eye showed hyperemia and signs of moderate iritis. Eight days later,he developed severe pain in his right eye. The visual acuity decreased to hand motion. A fibrin mass was present in the anterior chamber. The right eye was diagnosed with fulminant uveitis. It improved one month later with the visual acuity recovering to 1.0. Anterior and posterior subcapsular cataract developed in both eyes 3 months after injury. The patient has been doing well after uneventful cataract surgery. This case seemed to be a rare instance of uveitis following systemic electric injury.
