特発性黄斑円孔の臨床的特徴

Clinical characteristics of idiopathic macular hole

　手術を行った特発性黄斑円孔102例107眼につき，性別による病像などの違いを検索した。男性31例31眼，女性71例76眼で，有意差があった（p＝0.004）。屈折値は男女とも0Dから＋1.0Dが最も多く，その平均値は，男性＋0.26±1.16D，女性＋0.58±1.36Dで，有意差があった（p＝0.0022）。男性には第3期が最も多く，女性との比較で有意差があった（p＝0.0009）。SPP-Ⅱで評価した術前後の色覚には正の相関があった（p＜0.0001）。年齢，術前後の視力，円孔径，眼軸長，初回閉鎖率については男女差がなかった。

　We tried to elucidate gender-related differences of idiopathic macular hole by reviewing 107 eyes of 102 patients before and after surgery. The series comprised 31 eyes of 31males and 76 eyes of 71 females. The difference was significant（p＝0.004）. The refraction ranged from 0 to-1.0 diopter in the majority of cases. It averaged＋0.26±1.16 diopters in males and＋0.58±1.36 diopters in females. The difference was significant（p＝0.0022）. Stage 3macular hole was most frequent in males. Females had more advanced macular hole than males（p＝0.0009）. Color discrimination was evaluated by Standard Color Vision Plates Part 2（SPP-2）. There was a positive correlation between color function before and after surgery for both genders（p＜0.0001）. No gender-related difference was present regarding age,visual acuity,size of macular hole,axial length,or rate of success after initial surgery.
