  • Look Inside

We reviewed 80 eyes of 69 patients who received penetrating keratoplasty during the past 47 months. All the cases could be followed up for 3 months or longer. Keratoplasty was performed for bullous keratopathy 25 eyes(31%),corneal leukoma 24 eyes(30%),as regraft 15 eyes(18%),and keratoconus 9 eyes(11%). Best postoperative visual acuity improved in 62 eyes(78%)and best final visual acuity in 44 eyes(55%). Donor age or duration between extraction of sclerocorneal graft and surgery did not affect the rate of improvement of visual acuity or rate of transparent cure.
