先天白内障術後のガス透過性ハードコンタクトレンズ長期装用による角膜内皮への影響

Long-term changes of corneal endothelial cells after surgery for congenital cataract and wearing of rigid gas-permeable contact lens

目的：先天白内障手術後にガス透過性ハードコンタクトレンズを長期装用したことによる角膜内皮への影響の検索。対象：1歳未満の時期に先天白内障手術を受け，ガス透過性ハードコンタクトレンズを10年以上装用している14例25眼を対象とした。11例は両眼性，3例は片眼性である。手術時の年齢は4.3±2.3か月，コンタクトレンズの装用期間は13.0±3.1年であった。結果：角膜内皮細胞の密度は3,921±451mm²，細胞面積は256±33μm²，変動係数は0.34±0.08，六角形細胞出現率は58.9±9.7％であった。結論：ガス透過性ハードコンタクトレンズの長期装用による角膜内皮への影響はほとんどなかった。

Purpose：To evaluate long-term changes of corneal endothelial cells after wearing of rigid gas-permeable contact lens following surgery for congenital cataract. Cases：This study involved 25 eyes of 14 cases who received cataract surgery before the age of one year. The series comprised 11 bilateral and 3 unilateral cases. All were wearing rigid gas-permeable contact lens. The age at surgery averaged 4.3±2.3 months. They were wearing contact lens for an average of 13.0±3.1 years. Results：Density of corneal endothelial cells averaged 3,921±45 mm². Cell area averaged 256±33μm²,with 0.34±0.08 as coefficient of variation. Incidence of hexagonal cells averaged 58.9±9.7％. Conclusion：There were little changes in corneal endothelial cells after wearing of rigid gas-permeable contact lens.
