　アトピー素因を有する3例の脊髄炎患者を経験したので臨床的に比較検討した。全例とも気管支喘息の既往を有しており，アトピー性皮膚炎は認めなかった。臨床的には，上肢または下肢のしびれまたは感覚低下が主症状で，視力視野の異常や運動障害は認められなかった。MRIでは，2例において高位頸髄，1例で胸髄に脱髄と思われる孤発性のT2-高信号域が認められた。いずれの例も臨床経過は良性で，2例においてステロイドが奏効，1例では自然経過で臨床症状・画像所見ともに消失した。これらの脊髄炎は，多発性硬化症の初回発作である可能性は完全に否定できないものの，近年提唱されている「アトピー素因患者に良性の脊髄炎（atopic myelitis）が発症する」という臨床的概念を支持するものと思われる。

It is rare to see atopic symptoms in patients withmultiple sclerosis (MS). However, it has been reportedthat in atopic patients, particularly in patients withatopic dermatitis, a benign myelitis occasionally oc-curs. In the present report, three atopic patients withmyelitis were studied clinically and neuroradiologi-cally. All the patients were adult men (Case 1, 2, and 3were 41-year-old, 31-year-old, and 34-year-old, re-spectively), and all of them had bronchial asthmawithout histories of atopic dermatitis. Their manifesta-tions were not severe and were only numbness of up-per and/or lower extremities.
