Effect of Deapon on 35 patients with men-tal disorders of the several kinds was ex-amined. Most of the cases were administered Deapon in dose of 75~125mg. daily. The results were summarized as foliows;

1) On a point of the symptomatic effects, the drug showed remarkable effect on sleep disturbance, anxiety, depressive ideas, psy-chomotor inhibition, obssesion, asthenia, palpi-tation, neurotic headache and neurotic anore-xia.

2) For the deteriorated schizophrenics, the drug showed little effectiveness, while re-markable improvement was recognized in the cases with depression and cerebral arterioscle-rosis with anxiety. It was, however, thought that the important matter of this drug the-rapy in schizophrenics was the selection of the cases.

3) It may be emphasized that Deapon show-ed useful help for the psychotherapy in neurotic states, and even in the obssesive-compulsive states the desirable results were obtained.

4) Deapon had no severe side effects.
