  • Look Inside

A "running fit", epilepsia cursiva is here defined as an episodic alteration of conscious-ness associated with running. A case with running fits that had no other epileptic sei-zures was studied. The patient was a 11 years old boy.

1) E. E. G. showed dysrhythmia with sporadic sharp wave.

2) Though he had no conflict with the mem-bers of his family, a considerable personal-ity deviation and an emotinal precipitating factor were tound prior to the onset of this disease.

3) Phenobarbital and nitroglycerin medica-tion was able to control the seizure.
