肥胖症を伴える初期脊髓空洞症の1例

On an early Case ot Syringomyelia Associated with Obesity and Hypertension.

　脊髄空洞症に於いて肥胖を伴える例は少數には報告されている^1）2）が，私達も最近初期の本症患者に肥胖の認められた例に遭遇したので，茲に報告したいと思う。

We have reported an early case of syringo-myelia associated with obesity and hyper-tension. (He gained about 13 kg. in weight since the onset of the disease in a 5 months' period. The blood pressure was 160 m.m. Hg. systolic and 115 diastolic.)

We have discusssd on the origin of the obe-sity and it was concluded that it might be caused by the lesion of the cervical segment, which is in intimate relation with fatty meta-bolism.

Good results for the dissociated sensibibility and general process were obtained by Roentgen radiation upon the cervical segment.
