Perceived criticism(PC)is one of the predictors of relapse of bipolar disorder(BD). PC is a concept that reflects the perception of relationships through criticism between respondents and significant others. PC has been shown to be related to worsening of symptoms in BD patient. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of PC on depressive and manic symptoms after 6 months among BD patients with symptomatic remission and functional recovery. Among those who responded to the questionnaire at the first time and 6 months later, a correlation analysis was performed on 14 BD patients whose depressive and manic symptoms and social impairment was remitted. As a result, PC was shown to be associated with depressive symptoms after 6 months(ρ=.61〜.67, p<.01〜.05). The results of this study suggest that, even if depressive and manic symptoms, social impairment are remitted, PC strength can be a predictor of worsening of depressive symptoms 6 months later.
