Biological Rhythms Interview of Assessment in Neuropsychiatry(BRIAN)を翻訳し,その信頼性と妥当性の検討を行った。
It is known that circadian rhythms are associated with relapse and depressive/manic symptoms in bipolar disorder. there are several tools to measure circadian rhythm from the aspect of sleep, but there is no tool to measure circadian rhythm from aspects other than sleep in Japan. The aim of this study was to create the Japanese version of the Biological Rhythms Interview of Assessment in Neuropsychiatry(BRIAN), and to examine the reliability and validity of the scale. BRAIAN is the scale to assesses circadian rhythm disturbances from the 5 aspects(sleep, activities, social rhythms, eating pattern, and predominant rhythm)。The survey was conducted on 95 healthy volunteers and 58 patients with bipolar disorder. As the results of statistical analyses on reliability and validity, sufficient test-retest reliability(ICC=.68〜.80)and constructive validity(PSQI:ρ=0.60, MEQ:ρ=−0.54)were shown. The Japanese version of BRIAN is expected to be a clinically useful tool for mood disorders in clinical evaluation and psychological support.
