  • Abstract
  • Look Inside

Concerning two major categories of gene transfer, viral vectors are efficient for gene trasfer but biohazardous. In contrast, naked DNA is safer but less efficient.Positively charged biodegradable gelatine hydrogels(GHG) kept negatively charged gene, and extendedgene expression temporally and spatially. In experimentsusing rabbits with a left femoral artery excision, GIIG-VEGF complex enhanced angiogenesis (microangiography and histology) and salvaged the ischemic hindlimb more effectively than naked-VEGA.
