  • Look Inside

1) The serial estimations of organ and/or tissue blood flow of mongrel dogs were performed three times at intervals of fifteen minutes each other. The dogs were anesthetized and mechanically ventilated, and their hemodynamics and blood gases were maintained almost the same conditions throughout the experiments. Blood flow distri-butions to the organ and/or tissue measured ranged within 10 to 15% of variation. However, there was no significance between the estimations in all organ and/or tissue blood flow.

2) The serial estimation of organ and/or tissue blood flow of mongrel dogs were done three times at intervals of about two weeks each other. The first measurement was performed three to five days after the thoracotomy, so the dogs were in conscious and restrained conditions. The second and third estimations carried out 12 to 14 days after the preceding one in almost the same con-ditions. The blood flow to the organ and/or tissue measured showed fairly variations between each estimations. However, no significant change was observed in each measurement of organ and/ or tissue blood flow.
