 Intermittent Assisted Ventilation (I. A. V.) is a method included spontaneous breathing and assisted ventilation. The I. A. V. apparatus consists of respirator and constant flow system, using respirator (Bennett MA-1), O2 Blender (Bourns) and Mini-Pump (Tonokura).

 The roller-pump is used to stop constant flow intermittently and assisted ventilation is performed by Bennett MA-1. I. A. V.
