Summary

This is the case of an 84-year-old woman with hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy(HOCM). This patient was admitted to our hospital complaining of dyspnea and chest oppression. Biventricular obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy was diagnosed via doppler echocardiography. After administration of disopyramide phosphate and withdrawal of losartan potassium, the outflow tract pressure gradient of the bilateral ventricle decreased. In cases of HOCM, appropriate use of medicine is essential, in combination with repeated doppler echocardiography evaluation.
