RDI(red dichromatic imaging)is a novel and unprecedented IEE(image enhanced endoscopy)technique, which is mainly used for treatment, unlike conventional IEE. RDI has three different modes, and the mode can be switched according to the disease characteristics. The main applications of RDI include enhancing the visibility of bleeding points during endoscopic treatment, preventing vascular damage during submucosal injection, confirming the presence of esophageal varices, and evaluating the severity of ulcerative colitis. However, RDI is still a new IEE technique, and further research is needed to explore its use in various fields, including but not limited to diagnosis and treatment.
