Aims : We tried to clarify the radiographic and histological characteristics of superfietial protruded type gastric neoplasia . Material : 91 lesions of gastric cancer and adenoma clearly verified by histology. Method : We analyzed the clinico-pathological factors related to the degrees of histological atypia(adenoma, low-grade and high-grade of differentiated type carcinoma). Results : Histological findings ; a meaningful difference between low-grade carcinoma and adenoma was recognized by a comb-shaped projection of the mucosal surface. Radiographic findings ; A meaningful difference was recognized by a fine granular pattern. Conclusions : In radiographic diagnosis related to the degrees of histological atypia, the presence of a fine granular pattern with a comb-shaped projection of the mucosal surface is the most important factor.
