・腹部に軽度に隆起する紅色の蛇行性線状疹を呈していた．

・患者は自分で釣ったホタルイカを半生の状態で食した．

Creeping disease suspected by Spiruria type X

A 39-year old male with a linear red eruption on his left abdomen. He ate raw firesquids one week ago before the appearance of the eruption. Unfortunately, there were no parasite body on the specimen by skin biopsy, we suspect a creeping disease by Spiuria type X depending on his medical history and clinical symptom. Creeping disease by Spiuria type X was common 30 years ago in Japan, but now is rare case because of firesquids preserved by freezing to kill parasite.
