はじめに

　美容外科における脂肪吸引術の主な目的は，脂肪を吸引することにより体型を改善することである。脂肪吸引の方法にはシリンジや陰圧のかかる吸引器を用いた伝統的な脂肪吸引（suction-assisted lipectomy：以下，SAL）のほか，超音波（ultrasound-assisted lipectomy：以下，UAL）やレーザー（laser-assisted lipectomy：LAL），ラジオ波（radiofrequency-assisted lipectomy：以下，RFAL）などを併用したさまざまな方法がある 1）2）。どの脂肪吸引の方法でも起こり得る局所の合併症として血腫，漿液腫，皮膚の変色，知覚異常などが挙げられるが，そのなかで最も多く見られる合併症が吸引部位の不整である 1）〜4）。

　SAFE liposuctionによる脂肪吸引は吸引部位の不整のリスクが低い方法と思われたため，報告する。

　Liposuction administered for aesthetic purposes is surgical aspiration to improve a patientʼs body contour. Many liposuction methods for removing fat or minimize complications have been introduced, and several of these methods involve thermal energy. The most common complication of liposuction is skin irregularities. The risk of this complication increases as more fat is removed or more thermal energy is imparted. Separation, aspiration, and fat equalization （SAFE） liposuction is a nonthermal, multistep process that optimizes fat removal and minimize risk of skin irregularities. This method can be easily incorporated into existing liposuction techniques. This report outlines the liposuction method using SAFE liposuction with an AcquiCell™ system.
