　言語障害へアプローチする視点として，脳の側からの視点すなわち損傷部位(脳の前方-後方，内側-外側)の視点，また障害メカニズムへの視点すなわち「その誤りがどこから生じているのか」という視点，そして言語運用の視点すなわちその言語の「意味カテゴリ」あるいは言語運用にあたっての「入力や出力のモダリティ」など，様々な視点でみることの重要性を述べた．

　I described the significance of the various viewpoints in analyzing language impairment. One is from the viewpoint of lesion site (contrast of the lesion site;e.g., anterior vs posterior, medial vs dorsal). Another is the viewpoint of how or where the wrong (inadequate) response comes from. The third viewpoint is the semantic category specificity of the lexicon and the input/output channel modality specificity.
