吊り上げ法による内視鏡併用乳腺部分切除術およびセンチネルリンパ節生検のために開発した専用器具と，各操作のポイントを解説した．腋窩もしくは乳輪周囲から4mmの細径鏡と専用吊り上げ鉤，創縁保護リングや特殊形状の圧排鉤を用いることで，容易かつ効率的に本手術を施行することができる．しかし，各操作の要点さえつかんでしまえば，必ずしもこれらの器具がそろっていなくても本手術を行うことは十分に可能である．本手術は決して難しい特別な手術ではなく，適応も従来の手術と変わらず，その延長として容易に習得が可能である一方，症例を選ぶことにより従来手術よりはるかに整容面での術後のQOLが高い優れた術式である．
Special technique and new devices for video-assisted partial mastectomy with sentinel lymph node biopsy for early-staged breast cancer are described. The surgery can be performed through a small incision in the axilla or areolar, efficiently using a 4-mm endoscopes and an originally developed retractor, and special-shaped mus-cle retractors. However, a surgeon will be able to perform the surgery without such special devices but with an endoscope and usual surgical equipment, when he gets the knack of surgical each procedure.
