How to collect drug information for critically ill patients

医薬品は，それがどんなに有効性の高くとも，適切に使用されるための情報がなければ医療に貢献することができない。世の中には，医療用医薬品添付文書（添付文書），医薬品インタビューフォーム（IF）をはじめ，さまざまな医薬品関連資料が公開されている。そして，資料によりその作成方法が異なり，情報の質や意味，記載内容も異なる。医薬品を適切に使用するには，その特性を知り，患者の状態に合わせて使用方法を検討することは不可欠である。しかし，臨床で使用するあらゆる医薬品について詳細に把握しておくことは困難であり，効率的に必要な情報を収集しながら治療を進める必要がある。本稿では，時間的な制限のある実臨床において，効率的に医薬品情報を収集する方法について述べる。

Even if we could use a highly effective drug, we cannot optimally use drugs without sufficient information to achieve optimal use. Although we can use many types of documents （package insert, interview form, etc.） that are published to provide drug information, there are different policies and content among available documents. Critical care specialists need to get drug information and make sense of drug characterization, efficacy and safety to consider optimal drug regimens. However, it is difficult to collect all of the necessary drug information to use any drug optimally in advance. Clinicians have to collect information while treating a patient. We describe efficient options to collect information in the limited time available while treating patients.
