比較神経解剖学は相同性を手がかりに神経系の系統発生を探ってきた。大脳皮質，基底核，小脳は，系統発生学的分類が広く浸透している領域だが，近年の成果は従来の見解に見直しを迫っている。例えば，大脳新皮質は円口類に起源を持つ古い構造である可能性が高まっている。また，原小脳の存在は疑問視され，小脳の起源であるとする言説は根拠を失っている。一方，比較神経解剖学は，神経再生などの新たな課題に挑んでいる。

Abstract

Comparative neuroanatomy examines the phylogeny of the nervous system by tracing structural homologies. The cerebral cortex, basal ganglia, and cerebellum are areas where phylogenetic classification is widely applied, but recent findings have prompted a reassessment of long-standing views. For example, emerging evidence suggests that the neocortex is an ancient system originating from cyclostomes. Furthermore, the concept of the archicerebellum is being questioned, and the theory that the cerebellum originates from it has lost its bases. Comparative neuroanatomy is also expanding towards newer perspectives, including nerve regeneration.
