バングラデシュの理学療法について

　In the year of 1972, after the liberation war of Bangladesh, formal physical therapy Education（under graduate level under faculty of medicine, university of Dhaka）was started. In the year of 1978 two batches of physical therapists were graduated. But lack of enough facility and teachers the program was stopped and again started at 1994. Since 1972 to 2007 there are 479 numbers physical therapy practitioner in Bangladesh. Now a day, there are 6 under graduate level Institute here whose are providing physical therapy education to 698 students. All of the courses are of 5 years（4 years academic＋1 year internship）. In the year of 1983 and 1985 some class 1 government job for physical therapists were created. But longtime unavailability of physiotherapy practitioners, the posts was freeze.

　（訳）バングラデシュにおける正式な理学療法学教育（ダッカ大学医学部の学士レベル）は，バングラデシュ独立戦争後の1972年に始まった．1978年には2名の理学療法士が卒業した．しかし，このプログラムは設備と教員の不足により中断され，再開したのは1994年であった．国内の理学療法士の有資格者数は，1972～2007年までで累計479名である．現在，学部レベルの6つの教育機関で，698名の学生を対象に理学療法学教育が行われている．いずれも5年コースである（4年間の講義と1年間の実習）．1983年および1985年に，理学療法士のための1級公務員職が創設された．しかし，長期にわたって理学療法の有資格者が得られなかったために，この職は凍結された．
