　脳卒中の正確な診断と有効な治療には，病因・病態把握のための迅速かつ正確な臨床検査による評価が不可欠である．各臨床検査の特性を正しく理解しておくことは，脳卒中患者診療において極めて重要である．これらのことは，急性期脳梗塞患者に対する発症3時間以内の超急性期血栓溶解療法(rt-PA)を実施する際に，特に当てはまることである．

Rapid and accurate clinical examinations are indispensable for understanding pathophysiology and pathogenesis in the correct diagnosis and effective treatment of stroke.　It is very important to learn the characteristics of each clinical examination for a management of stroke patients.　These characteristics are particularly important for carrying out appropriately a hyperacute intravenous thrombolytic therapy using rt-PA (alteplase) within the initial 3 hours of the occurrence of stroke for acute ischemic stroke patients.
