I．はじめに

　唾石症は唾液腺に腫脹および疼痛をきたし耳鼻咽喉科医を訪れる場合が少なくない。発生部位としては大唾液腺とくに顎下腺に好発する^1〜5）。われわれはこの顎下腺唾石症に関して過去に大阪医科大学を受診した症例を対象として集計，分析を行いその結果について考察を行った。本症の多数例についての臨床統計は口腔外科領域では多くの発表があるが耳昇咽喉科の立場より行ったものは少なく^1,2），このためわれわれは今回過去9年間と長期の調査期間を設け症例数を大きくした。

　79 cases of sialolithiasis treated in our department from 1977 to 1985 were analysed. In sex ratio, the number of males was greater than that of females (47 : 32). The age ranged from 9 to 80 years with the average of 37.4 years old, centering around the thirties. The pretreated duration in these patients did not exceed more than three months. Majority of the stones lodged in Wharton's duct measured less than 5.0 mm in diameter, but the largest stone was 17.3 mm. Most of these intraductal stones were removed by intraoral incision, while the hilal and intraparenchymal stones by sialoadenectomy. For the diagnosis of sialolithiasis, ultrasonography and KIP electroradiography were mainly used. Each of them was considered to be a sensitive diagnostic measure for sialolithiasis.
