I．はじめに
顔面，頭蓋骨に発生する骨腫は比較的稀な疾患ではあるが，上・下顎骨は好発部位の一つとされている。
骨腫は良性腫瘍であり悪性化することがないうえ発育がきわめて緩徐であるため，手術的操作を加えることなくそのまま放置する場合が多い。しかし発生部位やその大きさによっては顔面の変形や機能障害をきたすことがあり，外科的処置を余儀なくされる場合がある。
X-ray examination revealed the presence of a bony tumor arising from the lingual aspect of the left vertical ramus of the mandible, and CAG showed a noticeable deviation of the carotid artery.
The skin incision was placed as same as for the parotid gland tumor surgery. Operation was successfully performed after the extensive exposure of the mandible.
Postoperative recovery was uneventful and there has been no functional disturbance.
