I．はじめに

　optokinetic nystagmus（以下OKN），eye tracking test（以下ETT）を中心とする眼運動検査が脳幹を中心とする眼運動系の機能検査として有用であることは周知の通りである^1〜4）。

　現在われわれの外来においてもめまい疾患などの診断にさいしOKN検査としてはJung型のものを，ETTとしてはメトロノームによる簡易型のものを用いてルーチンに行っている。

　It is well known that eye tracking and optokinetic nystagmus tests are useful in the diagnosis of the cerebellar or brain stem lesions.

　We devised the new stimulating system for these tests using a 27-inch TV screen and video tape recorder for the routine examination.

　The results obtained were compared with those of usual stimulating system, and the advantages and disadvantages of this new method were discussed. In summarizing the results, we could obtain the same, occasionally better results with this simple method. It is considered to be more suitable for the routine examination in clinic.
