I．はじめに

　近年，頭頸部外科の専門医として耳鼻咽喉科医が認められるにつれ，当科で治療される甲状腺疾患の患者数も増加しつつある。我々の教室では，過去に1978年までの加療例141例の甲状腺疾患について臨床統計的観察を行っているが，その後の4年間の症例を加えた226名全例について，今回追跡調査を行い，臨床統計的に検討を加えたので，ここに報告する。

　In 226 cases of the thyroid disease from 1960 to 1982, there were 48 males, average age of 47.4 years and 178 females, 42.6 years. Benign lesions included 1 ectopic thyroid, 19 inflammatory changes, 25 Basedow's diseases, 2 Plummer's diseases, 22 adenomatous goiters and 83 follicular adenomas. There were 70 malignancies ; 41 papillary adenocarcinomas, 18 follicular adenocarcinomas, 2 squamous cell carcinomas, 4 anaplastic carcinomas, 2 medullary carcinomas, 2 malignant lymphomas and 1 unclassified malignancy. Among 65 cases who received an initial treatment, 23 cases had hoarseness. Survival rates were 83.3% for 5 years and 54.5% for 10 years.
