I．緒言

　Xallthogranuloma（黄色肉芽腫）は，組織球の増殖性病変であるfibrous histiocytoma（線維性組織球腫）の一型に含まれる腫瘍性増殖病変である。線維性組織球腫は，1967年Stoutら^1）が組織球性細胞の腫瘍性増殖病変に対し線維性組織球腫として報告してから，本腫瘍の診断基準が漸次明らかにされてきた。しかし，現在なお病理組織学的分類および病態に関して報告者により種々の見解があるのが実情である。鼻部に発生した黄色肉芽腫症例は我々が渉猟し得た範囲で，本邦における報告は1例のみであり，本症例は2例目である。今回，我々は若干の文献的考察を加えて報告する。

　Xanthogranuloma is a type of fibrous histiocytoma and is pathologically characterized by the presence of facultative fibroblasts, lipid-containing histiocytes, Touton giant cells and histiocyte-like cells. This tumor is very rare and usually is classified as benign tumor, but sometimes reported as malignant tumor.

　The patient was a 3-year-old male with a chief complaint of deformity of the external nose after a nasal trauma. The tumor was removed by lateral rhinotomy, and it was pathologically proved as xanthogranuloma. Only one case of xanthogranuloma of the external nose has been reported in the Japanese literature.
