I．はじめに

　抗生物質の進歩・普及により，いわゆる耳性頭蓋内合併症は稀なものとなった。しかし全くなくなったわけではなく，少数例の報告が時々みられる。われわれは1979年から1981年の3年間に，5例の耳性髄膜炎を経験したのでここに報告し，若干の考察を加える。

　Five patients with otogenic meningitis were presented. All were treated at Hamamatsu University Hospital during the period of recent 3 years, 1979 to 1981.

　The ages of these patients were 43, 13, 10, 34 and 52. In the former three cases meningitis was occurred after acute otitis media, in the latter two cases from chronic otitis media with cholesteatoma. In one of them meningitis was occurred post-operatively.

　All cases were treated with a large amount of antibiotics administered intravenously along with purified gamma-globulin except the last case. Two cases with cholesteatoma were treated with middle ear surgery following the medical therapy.

　Prognosis was excellent in all cases.
