麻疹に続発した耳性化膿性髄膜炎の1例

　緒言

　麻疹の経過中に併発する中耳の炎症性疾患は，臨床家が最も屡々遭遇するものである。此の中耳の炎症性疾患は，麻疹性中耳炎と麻疹に併発した他の中耳炎が含まれるが，その区別は困難である。又此の中耳炎より続発性に乳突炎や頭蓋内合併症を惹起する，其代表的疾患は静脈洞血栓，脳膿瘍，並びに髄膜炎である。

　就中耳性髄膜炎はその伝染径路は複雑であり，臨床的にも又病理解剖学的にも究明し難い事が多い。

Ichihara and associates report a case of acu-te otitis media in a male infant aged 11 mo-nths that resulted as a complication to mea-sles. The patient soon developed symptoms of spinal meningitis that failed to respond to use of antibiotics until when mastoid opera-tion was instituted for the care of otitis me-dia. Following this operative procedure the patient gained an uneventful recovery.
