I．はじめに

　脳神経より発生する神経鞘腫の頻度は，全脳腫瘍の10〜15％を占める^1）が，その多くは聴神経鞘腫である。他の脳神経由来の神経鞘腫は稀であり，なかでも舌咽神経鞘腫の発生頻度はきわめて少なく，その診断も困難である。最近我々は舌咽神経鞘腫の2例を経験したので，その臨床所見，治療ならびに若干の考察を加えて報告する。

　Case 1 was a 37-year-old male suffered from dizziness, nausea and vomiting.

　Case 2 was a 43-year-old female suffered from dizziness, headache and deafness of the left ear.

　Each case had gaze nystagmus, slight weakness of gag reflex. CT scan with contrast medium revealed cerebellopontine angle tumor in both cases. Suboccipital craniotomy was performed and the tumor was found originated from the glossopharyngeal nerve in both cases. Histological examination revealed neurinoma.
