　I．緒言

　近年，抗結核療法のめざましい進歩と予防対策の徹底により，結核性咽後膿瘍はとみに激減したが，このたび当教室において頸椎カリエスを伴った結核性咽後膿瘍を経験したので，文献的考察を加えて報告する。

　A 37-year-old male was seen with a history of dysphagia and stiffness of the neck of 3 months' duration. Examination of the throat revealed a bulging abscess at the posterior wall of the pharynx. The abscess was aspirated, and culture of the aspirated material showed no Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Multiple sputum and blood culture were negative. Tomogram of the cervical spine presented osteolytic lesions, and an operation of the cervical spine was done. Subsequently, the pathological findings were compatible with Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection.
