I．緒言
機能性食道狭窄はHypermotilityとHypomotilityに分類される、われわれは最近，心因により発症したと思われるHypermotilityのdiffusespasm typeの機能性食道狭窄症の1例を経験したので，臨床経過およびその背景にあるものについて述べ，併せて若干の文献的考察を行なつた．
A case of functional stricture of the esophagus is reported. The patient is a woman, aged 45, whose chief complaint was difficulty in swallowing. The esophagogram showed the spastic area extended from just beneath the pyriform sinus to the level 3cm below this area. Direct esophagoscopy showed no pathological findings but the laboratory examination revealed normochromic-normocytic anemia. The diagnosis of functional stricture of the esophagus was made.
The functional stricture of the esophagus in this case is probably due to diffuse spasm caused by the hypermotility of the esophagus.
