石坂1）により，アトピー性アレルギーの抗体レアギンのcarrierは，免疫グロブリンE（IgE）であるのが明らかにされてから，多くの人々により，アトピー性疾患の血清中IgEの定量成績が報告されつつある。鼻アレルギー患者血清にも，IgEが増加するという発表が欧米でみられ，本邦でも2,3の施設で，IgEの定量が試みられている。著者らは，鼻アレルギー患者の血清中IgE量と，皮内反応，誘発反応，血中，鼻汁中好酸球，減感作療法の経過などの臨床所見との関係を検討した。
The amount of serum IgE in the allergic patients with atopic and possible atopic appeared to be double those of non atopic. Many atopic types were found among those who were considered as possible atopics; many of the non-atopics were found to be free of allergy.
No definite information was revealed on the specificity of antigen among the atopic group; the amount of IgE was found to be high among young persons before the age 20.
The symptoms such as increased sneezing, nasal discharge and blood eosinophilia seem to have a relation with IgE increase but it was not highly so.
