　I．はじめに

　外鼻，鼻腔，鼻咽腔などに脳固有の支持組織であるグリア組織からなる神経膠腫が出現することは非常にまれなことであり，nasal gliomaあるいはencephaloceleとして報告されている。

　最近われわれは，生下時より咽頭に腫瘤が認められ，哺乳障害，嘔吐，呼吸困難をきたした本症を経験したので報告する。

　Glioma, which is originally derived from the glial tissues that forms the basic support of brain tissues, is seldom found in the nasal or paranasal cavities. There are only 100 cases reported in the literature of the foreign country while only 4 cases are, so far, found in that of this country. The authors make a report of the fifth case.

　The patient was an infant 6 days old. On the 3rd day after a normal delivery the infant began to show a difficulty in feeding, repeated vomiting and dyspnea. Examination revealed a large pharyngeal tumor the size of the thumbhead. Under general aneasthesia the tumor was removed. A histological examination showed the growth as ganglioglioma.
