鼻咽腔グリオームの一症例

GLIOMA OF THE NASAL CAVITY

　I．はじめに

　われわれはこのたび稀有なる鼻咽腔グリオームの一例に遭遇したのでここに報告する。

　本例は鼻咽腔に発生した神経膠腫によつて呼吸困難をきたした新生児の症例である。一般に鼻および鼻咽腔領域でグリア組織より形成されている腫瘍はごく少ないといわれている。

　われわれの調べたところでは外国の文献を見ても症例数はわずかに75症例であり，ひるがえつて本邦症例は耳鼻咽喉科領域においては実に本例を入れても3例にしかすぎない。

　A case of nasal glioma in an infant is reported. A new-born infant was affected with breathing difficulties due to a nasal passage growth. Immediate treatment effected, elsewhere, was a partial removal of the growth and tracheotomy. Examination showed a pedunculated tumor arising from the roof of the nasal cavity almost completely obliterating this passage.

　The tumor was successfully removed. A microscopic examination showed the growth to be a glioma. This relatively rare disease was first reported by Berger in 1890 and in this country the present case is the 3rd to be thus, reported.
