（44）視神経（眼窩部）から発生したグリオーム及びメニンギオームに就て

Glioma and Meningioma of the Orbital Portion of the Optic Nerve

　視神経から発する原発性腫瘍は，膠腫Glioma，髄膜腫Menimgioma，内皮細胞腫Endothelioma，繊維腫Fibroma，血管肉腫Angiosarcoma等であると云われている^1）。Davis^3）によれば視神経から発生した原発性腫瘍は，3分の2は膠腫で，3分の1が髄膜腫であったと云う。而して視神経からの原発性膠腫の発生頻度はCollin and Mar-shall^4）（1900）によれば，388,000人中2例にみられたと云うから比較的稀な疾患である。我国で報告されているもので，臨床的に又組織的に調べてあるものは私共のしらべた範囲では神経膠腫8例，髄膜腫11例であつた。

　私共も最近視神経から原発した膠腫及び髄膜腫を経験したのでここに報告し，膠腫についてはそれを構成する細胞の種類に就いて，又髄膜腫に就いては之と在来から云われている内皮細胞腫，繊維腫，砂粒腫，血管腫等との関係に就いて述べてみようと思う。

The first case is that of a woman, 17 yars old with 3 1/2 years' progress. The right eye-ball pathologically projected approxiamately 8 mm, so the visual acuity of right eye was fingers at 15cm. The removed tumor stuck to the eye-ball, and surrounding the optic nerve, extended backward approxiamately 32 mm. The pathologic-histologic finding is that the glioma has originated from the orbital portion of the optic nerve. The cells composing this tumor consist chiefly of oligodendrocytes, but astrocytes exist in part.
