A case of polyneuritis cranialis is reported.

A woman, aged 37, presented symptoms and signs of the paralysis of oculomotor, trochlear and external recurrent nerves with highly sensative trigeminal nerve. A diagnosis of superior orbital fissure syndrome was made.

After one month following the abatement of the above symptoms the patient suffered a recurrence of her former complaints with added symptoms of dysphagia, hoarseness and nasal voice. The diagnosis of polyneuritis cranialis was made in the department of internal medicine.

The patient was found to be suffering from chronic sinusitis. The author states that present complaints are more often found in patients who suffer chronic sinusitis than as not.
